SHAUNA KARVER // FOUNDER
I’m a rare breed — a true Portland native. Not a transplant, but a genuine Oregonian through and through. The Pacific Northwest is my muse, and there’s no place that inspires me quite like it. From dramatic mountain vistas to tranquil river views, Oregon’s hidden gems are the backdrop to my creative spirit. It’s my greatest pleasure to weave these landscapes into weddings that reflect both the beauty of the surroundings and the personalities of the couples I work with.
My husband, our two young sons, and our golden retriever call wine country just outside Portland home. We’re an outdoorsy family — whether it’s adventuring in Central Oregon or taking in the views from the Willamette River. I’m a passionate skier on both land and water (because in Portland, you can do both in a single day — and yes, I do!). It’s this love for nature and adventure that shapes my approach to wedding planning — a perfect blend of style, spontaneity, and elegance.
At my core, I’m a people person. Wedding planning isn’t just about design or logistics; it’s about building meaningful connections, listening intently, and curating a seamless experience that feels as effortless as it is extraordinary. I love making each couple’s vision a reality while adding a touch of unexpected flair. A good sense of humor helps, too — because let’s face it, weddings should be fun!
Ultimately, I feel incredibly privileged to play a role in one of the most important days of your life. The joy, the love, the celebration — it’s what makes everything we do worthwhile. And I’ll cherish the moments of happiness I get to witness long after the day has ended.

Growing up in a large Italian family in the San Francisco Bay Area, I've always had a deep appreciation for gatherings of any kind. Whether it's a loud family dinner, a 50th-anniversary party, or a 400-person wedding, I love any excuse to bring those you love together.
I've worked in the Portland advertising scene for the last 10 years, with experience ranging from brand and media strategy to corporate event planning.
I enjoy every stage of the event planning process. One of my greatest passions is bringing someone's vision to life. I've learned that no idea or detail is too crazy or out of reach. With a little bit of charm and a whole lot of hustle, anything is possible.
When I'm not at a wedding, you'll find me walking with family to one of our favorite Portland breakfast joints.
LOIS DITOMMASO // SENIOR PRODUCER
Celebration is in my DNA. With a Jewish-American mother and an accomplished Italian jazz musician for a father, I grew up immersed in the art of making moments unforgettable. From the smallest personal touches to grand design concepts, I’ve always found joy in creating meaningful events.
After studying Design and Merchandising at Drexel University and working in fashion in Los Angeles, I transitioned to interior design, where I spent five years cultivating a love for organization and collaboration. Now, living among the coastal redwoods of Northern California with my son and dog, Little Guy, I’m driven by the connections I build with clients and the joy my work brings them.
Event day is where my imagination takes flight — from a simple concept to a full-fledged celebration. There's no greater thrill than bringing it all to life, surrounded by love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
When I’m not planning, you’ll find me exploring the North Coast through my seven-year-old's eyes, breaking a sweat, or savoring a well-deserved “Mom-latte” at the local café.

As a mom of four, I’m naturally highly organized and thrive on turning even the most complex events into smooth, beautiful celebrations. I love creating a sense of hospitality where every guest feels cared for and cherished.

As a natural planner with an eye for detail, I’m dedicated to creating flawless, beautiful events that exceed expectations. Whether it’s a wedding or corporate gathering, I approach every project with organization and precision to ensure a seamless, memorable experience.
Originally from Los Angeles, I moved to the Pacific Northwest to attend the University of Oregon. After falling in love with the region, I settled in Portland with my husband and our two cats.
My career began in corporate and office events, but it was while planning my own wedding that I discovered my true passion for weddings. In 2018, I was thrilled to join the J29 Events team, where I’ve had the privilege of working alongside a creative and inspiring group of professionals on countless stunning events.
When I’m not immersed in planning, you can find me binge-watching Friends, trying new restaurants, or exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
ELIZABETH MCCOY - TIDLAND // SENIOR PLANNER
I’m a planner with a passion for creating joyful, memorable events. Whether I’m coordinating the details, bringing positive energy to the process, or ensuring every moment is seamless, I strive to make the planning experience as enjoyable as it is meaningful.
Originally from Southern California and part of a large, lively family, I’ve always loved hosting gatherings. After playing water polo at Arizona State, I moved to San Francisco, where I combined my love for helping people with my passion for events while working at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. Wedding planning became a true passion of mine when I planned my own in 2013.
When I’m not planning weddings, you’ll find me soaking up life with my two young children, exploring local food trucks, and discovering all the hidden gems the PNW has to offer.
